Digital Detox....
There is a high likelihood that most of you have heard of the idea of a digital detox. Maybe you have actually done one and if you have I would love to hear how it went in the comments. Well, I have decided to try a detox myself to see if there is an improvement.
The main reason I have come to this decision is simply because I am struggling with concentration. It seems that I need to reread things a couple of times and that I catch my mind wondering when trying to read and/or study. As I have been working on content for my blog and podcast it has become even more apparent. I also feel convicted that when we become distracted, we are unable to fully serve God like we are called to do. For an example, in writing to the church in Corinth, Paul gives clear instruction that whatever we do, we are to do it all for the glory of God.
31 Whether, then, you eat or drink or whatever you do, do all to the glory of God.

We see this clear mandate again in the book of Colossians.
17 Whatever you do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks through Him to God the Father.

So based on the fact that we read, “do all….” it seems clear to me that we should evaluate everything the do from the standpoint of its purpose in relationship to God.
Do you find your self distracted? What is the cause of your distraction? What should be done about it?
I will share my experiences here and I am very excited to hear all of your thoughts and ideas!
Goodbye Twitter…….at least for now……..
